NOTCH>Notch isĀ an ensemble collective that produces ephemeral performances where dining and hospitality are experienced as discursive practices. Site-sensitiveĀ and research-based, each event challenges assumptions about food and service with elements of progressive cooking and active social exchange. Negotiated between the positions alienated labor and luxury consumption, Notch expands the political and social possibilities of an eating engagement by revaluing the act of collective cooking and the agency of reciprocal hospitality. Notch was founded in 2007 by Miles Ake, Sarah Beadle + Keith Pasko. Notch includes David Bell, Selby Cole, Eben Goff, Oliver Hess, Dusadee Huntrakul, Emily Marchand, Jaymee Martin, Lesley Moon, Satomi Nagata, Taidgh O’Neill, Marcus Perez, Elyse Reardon-Young, Roby Saveedra, Tiffany Smith, Noah Spindler, J.R. Valenzuela, Eric Vrymoed, Sam Widaman + David Zuttermeister
